2020 Fall Football

Welcome to Midlothian Athletic Association Fall Football.
We are getting geared up for another awesome Mustang Football Season and are looking forward to your player having an awesome season as well.
CQL has not cancelled the season thus far- so keep your fingers crossed!!
Please note - we are a volunteer organization. That means, we need many volunteers to help with a multitude of tasks throughout the season. Each family is responsible for filling at least 4 volunteer spots per season. We recognize that not every family has the time or desire to volunteer. We have added a non-volunteer fee for this reason.
You will be signing your player up based on their age. If you have any questions or concerns about the team your player is assigned to, please email the Football Directors, David and Lindsey Gwaltney at [email protected]

Online Registration OPENS on May 15th  - no payments will be taken at this time.
 
Eligibility to play for MAA is based on the player living in the JB Watkins School District, or to players in elementary school districts without an association. For questions about location eligibility please email maafootball[email protected]

Uniform fitting TBD

Age Groups
                                                                                      
Flag   ages 5, 6 and 7  Must be no older than 7 on Sept. 30
  
Minor   9U   Must be no older than 9 on Sept. 30 

Junior  11U  Must be no older than 11 on Sept. 30 

Senior  13U  Must be no older than 14 on Sept. 30

If a player's birthday falls between August 1-Sept 30, they have the opportunity to choose between 2 different teams. Example: Robert's birthday is September 2, 2011. Robert can choose to play on either the Minor or Junior team.

Registration Fees
Flag players  $170 if you register by June 30
$185 if you register after June 30
Minors, Juniors, and Seniors $185 if you register by June 30
$200 if you register after June 30
-Fee includes: CQL participant fee, game day jersey (yours to keep), game day pants, helmet (for tackle players) and knee pads. 
-All players will need to provide their own mouth guard, cleats, game day blue socks (or MIDLO socks for purchase from spirit wear),and practice gear. 
-Tackle players will also need to provide their own shoulder pads and girdles. We do have some used shoulder pads that will be available on a first come first serve basis.

2020 MAA Cheerleading

We will not be accepting payment until fitting day (TBD).


As these times are uncertain with the COVID-19 crisis, all dates and times are not set in stone yet, as things become concrete dates will be in bold. 




Registration is open to all athletes, and is not limited to the Watkins Elementary School attendance boundaries. We offer cheerleading for football season only.

Age requirements for football cheering: 
5-14 years old with age being determined as of 9/30 of current year for flag, minor, junior and senior cheerleaders who are not aging out. Age for seniors cheering during their last year of eligibility will be determined as of 12/31 of current year.

Squad Selection 
Squads are set up according to age, no experience or skills required for any age.
